(1) มีการกักเก็บน้ำและโซเดียมอย่างเข้มข้นและการขับถ่ายโพแทสเซียม
(2) มีฤทธิ์กดภูมิคุ้มกันที่แข็งแกร่ง
(3) การใช้ยาในปริมาณมากในการตั้งครรภ์ช่วงปลายอาจทำให้แท้งได้
สังเกต
(1) มีข้อห้ามในสัตว์ตั้งท้องในระยะเริ่มต้นหรือระยะหลัง
(2) ในกรณีที่ติดเชื้อแบคทีเรีย ควรใช้ร่วมกับสารต้านจุลชีพ
(3) ไม่ควรหยุดยาระยะยาวอย่างกะทันหัน โดยค่อยๆ ลดขนาดยาลงจนกว่าจะหยุดยา
